Copying AVI files onto a DVD

I have a couple of AVI video clips that i want to get onto a DVD so i can play them on the TV i have tried several times to do this but doesnt seem to work any tips?

Unless your DVD player is equipped to play DivX or Xvid files then burning an AVI to a DVD will not work. The AVI file needs to be converted to DVD format to enable the player to read it. If you have an Xbox 360 or a PS3 then these should play the AVI files directly, otherwise you will need to convert the AVI with software. Have a look at www.videohelp.com for guidance and software tools.

If you use the "search this thread" button at the top of the page, you may find it's been answered already!;)0 -
If you do decide you need AVI on a DVD -- then the .avi files should be burnt as a DATA disk -- which as said above will play on any DIVX/XVID capable players -- Dave0
