ING supposedly don't like the forces

After the fiasco with Kaupthing and Ing I thought I would phone up about an offer I received via email, firstly to see if it was genuine.
Not being able to log in I phoned.....Kaupthing hadn't processed our change of address so ING had been mailing Northern Ireland. Everything was fine until I mentioned army and BFPO, they need to check my ID. Can I give a relatives UK address beacuse they do not recognise BFPO addresses and they don't recognise forces addresses in UK.
I told her if that was their attitude to the forces community I wasn't prepared to use them any longer.
I will ring back to speak to another advisor to see if the first person had her facts straight .
Was just wondering if anyone else had come across this

I cannot understand why they cannot use a quarters address in the uk, it is no different to any other address in the uk sounds like they don't like forces and want to be awkward,.0

I have 2 ING accounts - both registered at my BFPO address - so this can be done.
ICICI however couldn't cope with it so I withdrew my entire balance.
Their loss over a minor admin matter.
BFPO is a UK postcode after all.0 -
I spoke too soon - Just received a letter from ING saying that BFPO is not acceptable for my new account after they transferred my Kaupthing acount. This is funny because in the same batch of mail I get interest rate information from ING for my other ING account which is merrily coping with the BFPO address.0

Exactly the same problem as chipfire, i hace logged a complaint against ING and the FSA will acknowledge this complaint within 10 days, they then have 3 months to replt to me, ING that is. I have a considerable sum with ING earning me 7.15%, its no wonder they say we wont except BFPO address's, I would imagine the FSA may have something to say about that considering i never even asked for my money to be transfered from Kaupthing to ING, it was the FSA who moved my money. mmmmmmm. Lets wait and see.
Complain like i did its easy to do it over the telephone to ING.0
