Hi to everyone, its my first post on MSE
Need advice on car insurance claim: Mercedes 220 CDI
Had a car accident on 02/02/09 was hit by other driver rear passenger door, wheel arch, alloy wheel plus a ticking noise appeared from the front of the car dash. Insurance company have agreed to merc garage quote for body repair work but their appointed independent inspector reported that the ticking noise is from wear and tear and wont cover it even though he only heard the noise and performed a visual inspection of the car. The insurance company have asked me to get an independent inspection which might cost £50 as I complained that the noise wasn't their prior to the accident.
Where do I stand on this. Any advise would be welcomed.
