The OP is smart, he is getting involved with a pyramid scheme and wants to know the arguments against it, so when he tries to persuade people to join he has already heard the arguments against it and has a well thought out reply.

The difference between a good salesman and a bad one is, a good one has heard all the reasons not to buy his product, and has a carefully prepared answer for them.
