Multiply car policy
Where can I find a multi car policy for, at present, four vehicles ?
3 vehicles have individual policies ( one at garage getting fixed just now )
The fourth one isn't covered, prompting this multy policy possibility.
One is getting fixed and MOT'd and will be sold in about 6 weeks, leaving three.

A multi car policy is not always cheaper, so get quotes as a multi car and to insure them indidually0

Depends on the situation and risk.
For example we insure 8 cars on one family fleet policy. The main advantage is the one renewal date so you don't inadvertently forget to renew on and the fact that the family - 8 drivers can drive any car fully comp without ringing the insurers to add them. If my brother wants to borrow my MPV for the weekend he can. If I want to borrow my dads car for the weekend I can.
We pay £2.2k pa for 8 cars - Merc E55, Merc A160, BMW 530d, Zafira, Corsa, Mini One, Mini Cooper and Nissan Note. When you consider that The Merc E55 and BMW 530d used to cost £800 each to insure you can see what good value the scheme can be. But as a caveat it depends on your individual circumstances - we are all over 30 and have full & protected no-claims.The man without a signature.0 -
It certainly does depend on the risk, the more cars their are in relation to the amount of normal drivers the cheaper the premium as the Insurers know most of the vehicles will not be used much. The OP has 4 vehicles and I suspect 4 drivers 2 of which are probably sons and daughters.
So as always it is best to check around and weigh up the pros and cons of price and cover.0 -
Hiya, thanks for you replies.
We have a vauxhall vectra SRI, corsa CDTI, mitsubishi shogun and the bygone age ford escort xr2i, also the work van, I forgot about...ford transit.
Xr2i is his toy and rarely gets used.
The Vectra, insurance runs out in July and will be getting sold in a few months once MOT'd etc.
Showgun, renewal due now.
Corsa, has 10 months left to run on it's policy.
Main use will be my partner and I, both driving the corsa, showgun and the work van. ( Teenagers not of age to drive and will be getting their own )
