MS Office is not free, you have to pay for it.Stompa0

You will not get it legally for free.
If you are a student, have a child in education or work for the NHS you can get it a substantial discount.0 -
Students/Staff (anyone with a .ac.uk email basically) can get Office 2007 Ultimate for £38.95 [and Windows Vista Ultimate for the £40.95 - US$10 goes to fighting AIDS in Africa]. This is an official Microsoft Offer called the Ultimate Steal - my College links to this as part of its student information

Alternatively, if you're in full-time education, or have kids who are, try www.software4students.co.uk where prices start at £35.
Otherwise, try OpenOffice which is free. You won't get MS Office legitimately without paying.0 -
I would recommend Open Office - I use this all the time and so does my local council - its fully compatible with MS officeThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

Software4students don't give you the Office 2007 Ultimate Version - i think the few extra quid is worth it0

I wish people who stop saying this - it is NOT ***FULLY*** compatible with MS Office - granted the compatibility is not bad, but its the same as the other free word processors - there are several things its not good on converting and inevitably it'll be the things that catch you out (e.g. tables, footnotes, fonts) - it is a very good product0 -

I work all day every day on Open Office and have never had a problem with any of its facilities or compatability, people answer other peoples questions based mainly on their own experiences as is the whole point of a forum, I suggest you check your users guide if you are having compatability problems.Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0
