I ticked a box to say I didnt want to receive offers by post/email
Does this mean I wont get my voucher code email either

Oh well, worth a try, will have to wait and see. It's a very nice offer but not that big a deal if I dont get it.

CD Wow will do very well out of this whatever way you look at it.

They will probably have a limited number of vouchers so it matters little to them how these are distributed. Although ideally the vouchers would all go to new customers, CD Wow will still have a massive boost to their mailing list through this offer.

To anyone with concerns about publicising the offer on forums such as this, well it's not as if Time Out is some obscure publication read by a mere handful of people!
  • This is my first post on moneysavingexpert.com, so please bear with me!

I'm already a registered user of CD-WOW, so can't take advantage of the offer of a free CD :-(. They are reliable, quick, secure, and often a little cheaper. However, when buying a CD from them, check the track listing. One of my friends bought a CD from them a couple of years ago that didn't have all the tracks that the ones in the shops had. I suggest cross-referencing the CD track-listing with HMV's website (https://www.hmv.co.uk) to make sure it's the same. I have used them many times before myself and have always been happy with my purchase, but in the unlikely event that you are not happy with your purchase, their customer service is brilliant!

Stay away from that Trap Door, 'cause there's something down there...

    I guess so...
The London edition costs £2.50 per week (January 2006 prices) and has a circulation of 86,000 copies and a readership of 374,000 people (Jan-Jun 2003 figures). These figures are down from a record high of 110,496 achieved in Jan-June 1995.

Still, when people do blast out these offers widely (and take the credit for it as being their own "find" ;) ) they tend to close down quite quickly.
  • Have signed up and added my chosen CD to my wish list! Will spend with a grin come Feb 21st! :)
