I can't really answer as such either Rusty but like rainmac and Mary just anything homemade.
As you know my DD bought back from her travels a coconut bracelet that she made for me, she also bought back a shell bracelet that she didn't make, now whilst the shell bracelet in some eyes is probably prettier the coconut bracelet to me just means the world, she made it and it was especially for me. I know which one I'll be wearing the most;)

Edit: Sorry it sounded like I was ungrateful for the shell bracelet which I'm definately not, it's a lovely present and it's beautiful too but you know what I mean when I say that the coconut one to me seems just extra special.

Sorry Soblivion it was your message earlier on which made me put up the thread, when you mentioned the coconut bracelet, and also knowing I had a pressy to collect made me think of it :D you didn't sound ungrateful at all, I know exactly what you mean :D

I think one of mine would probably have to be a journal in a jar cause I have made up/in process of making up a couple tonight :D

  • Ou, anything someone has put thought into making would be very well received. After some thought I've come up with the following:

I'd really love a movie hamper as I have 2 children and getting out can be hard due to my partners long hours so a night in for the two of us with a good movie, some popcorn and a diet coke would be a real treat.
A journal jar and notebook would be lovely too, so simple, thoughtful and definitely something I would use as I love writing and haven't kept a journal/ diary for years but used to love having one.

    Great question :T

I think I would particularly like any of the foodie/cooking hampers - like the chinese/indian ones

    and

Scrapbook or folder of recipes - especially cakes!

But must agree with everyone else - anything that someone has taken the time and trouble to make would be much appreciated
  • Just anything with thought put into it would mean alot

    1. A crafty hamper
    2. pampered night in hamper
    Debt free wannabe
Littlewoods - £214.82 (DD set up so 0%)
    Very - £100 (0% on BNPL - 1/4/13)
    CC - £2600/£3533.53 (0% until 1/6/14)
  • I would love a handmade framed photo collage of my family and friends - my room is covered in photos
And secondly I would love either an Irish themed hamper (mad on the Irish me!) or a pink (the colour not the singer!) themed hamper ... no I'm not 6 but hey I'll never grow up!

RustyFlange, I honestly can't believe people campaigned to change your name! I love it, it never fails to put a smile on my face when I see one of your posts so thanks for that :)
  • I've been thinking about this since the original post and have finally decided that it would be:

A matching set of handbag dust bags and a bathy hamper.

Think I will end up doing them for myself though :o

and something I could wear like a scarf or piece of jewellery.....really miss the days when I could say "my Grandma/Mum/Aunty Edie made it for me"
