storage heaters question

Hi,

My house has storage heaters - but want to repalce them in the future for radiators.

But finishing off and extension and need heating in their first. If I buy another storage heater how do I wire it up, i.e so it heats up at the correct time etc?

I wont be tackling this myself just want to know how big a job it is for a sparky and what cost could be ?

any help much appreciated

Cheers

Kevin

It needs to be connected into the "Economy 7" circuit otherwise it will cost even more to run that they do already.
This circuit is only active overnight to charge the heaters up.

It should not be a hard job for a good electrician, the cost depends on how much wiring he needs to runs to get to the location of the new heater.

If you are only going to be using it for a short while, then it may not be worth the cost of installing etc.

Have you considered another means of temporarily heating that area, maybe a portable convector heater.

It may work out cheaper in the long run.
