How to save money when booking a flight with BMI

Hi
I am travelling to Tel Aviv, next week and because of a loophole I just discovered I saved around £42.52 on the ticket price.
This "loophole" may have been discussed here - but I did search and did not find it here so below I explain it ...
When I book flights I use:
http://farecast.live.com/
This is an american based service - they list prices in $'s.
Today I searched for a flights from Edinburgh to Tel Aviv. It listed $461.
So I clicked through to the BMI site - which requested I enter UK as my country ...
After doing the same search on the BMI site, the price was £360.50 which when you convert into $'s at today's rate is $522.77.
So I phoned their reservation number and asked them to tell me the price of my desired route. They confirmed the price as £360.50, ($522.77 - at today's rate).
I then explained I had seen the price cheaper online in $'s.
So the polite indian fellow pressed a few buttons and said I COULD pay in $'s and so the price would be $461 (that's £317.98) - so by paying in $'s I saved £42.52.
So if you're looking at flights with BMI or any other airline try phoning them and asking for the price in $'s, because you may like me save some pounds ...

Pay with a Nationwide or Post Office card, or be sure to factor in any foreign currency surcharges from your card provider. And be aware that BMI credit card fees may be different as well.0

just checked that new site and unfortunately the price is more than if I go direct to BMI

loophole maybe, but some airlines state that tickets must be bought in home currency etc etc etc... but hey.. if it works.. abuse it!0
