I ordered from the 50% offer. The pizzas were cold and greasy and the delivery driver still had his hand out for a tip.
Never again.0 -
If you had the dip with a date on it you could contact environmental health, as they give out the certificates of food and hygiene don't they?
or complain there and then. No company wants bad publicity over something they have sold a customer.
Did you speak to someone last night at pizza hut?
You are totally right he should complaint in the consumer court or directly speak to the honor of Pizza Hut.
Thanks0 -
No I did not eat. And what is the difference between bb and use by. I complained through their website and they sent me a £5 voucher for use at one of their restaurants. I think this is completely unsatisfactory
you have had a right result, now grow up and get on with you life......:rolleyes:0 -
Is there not a pizza ombudsman?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Best Before suggests the item will be suitable for conumption after the date listed however, and wait for this one ... it is BEST - BEFORE the date listed.
Use By, you're gonna love this next bit, is dated because you're supposed to ... here it comes ... USE - BY the date listed.
Anyway, people grumbling about pizza is brilliant - having recently resigned from my old job at the Bank due to stress (I don't expect sympathy, you'll probably all hate me for working in a bank!) I now work in a reputable Pizza Franchise and by golly the people who kick up fuss over nothing. You got an out of date dip, the policy for such a thing would normally be to phone back up and ask to have a new one sent. These things are dated bulk and no-one but no-one is going to take the time out to check the date before it's sent out.
I side with the people who say you're getting more than enough compensation with your £5 voucher. Shoosh, an' go find more important things to worry about.[strike]Debt: £0.00[/strike]

All you stupid idiots that are giving me grief need to listen to my second experience of the hut. Lat night I ordered a pizza online with the 50% discount code. Everything went as expected up. About a minute after placing the order I got a call from my local branch, telling me that they were no longer partaking in the promotion??? They said I had two options: I could call their refund department or pay the extra money to receive my order. So whats going on Martin???0

I'd rather you didn't refer to me as a stupid idiot as in the grand scheme of things it doesn't make you look to bright in comparison;
From the original post where you no doubt found the 50% Discount Voucher;
"Warning! This discussion is out of date. For the latest restaurant deals including Pizza Hut 2for 1 see our daily updated Eating Out Deals Note"

So as you can see the offer is out of date. Now if you remember our 'best before' and 'use by' discussion you'll be quick to notice that this is definitely a 'use by', because as you've found out you can't use it beyond the date that's listed!
First time round you had a slight complaint which you blew out of proportion.
Second time round you tried to use a deal that was out of date because you didn't check to see if it was still valid; caveat emptor, brother.
As a final though; "Once bitten, twice shy?" - does this not ring a bell? You found the service poor first time and you went back for more ...[strike]Debt: £0.00[/strike]
