Hope your headache clears soon Andan, I have banging headache too, not sure if its is from caffeine withdrawal or paint fumes luckily it isn't a migraine type one so I haven't got the disturbed vision/nausea that usually get.
Bagpuss - glad you are feeling a bit better but do mention to doc next week.0 -

Luckily my headache is clearing now. Apparently my headaches are not migraines because despite noise, movement and light sensitivity, because i don't get the nausea they are not migraines. However i can assure you, they are just as bad and sometimes worse as they often result in me being bed the rest of that day and most of the next day. However doctors refuse to do anything about them:rolleyes:
Hope yours clears soon too!:j Live on £4500, £2531/£4500:T 101 in 1001 (52/101):j:beer::j

Done all the usual things like updating spreadsheets, online banking etc. However, the main one for me today was that I finally managed to get paid for work I did last year. I hadn't received any payments from a particular company since last June. I did suspend the service in November (now cancelled). It's taken a few polite phone calls and I've had to maintain pretend politeness and bite my tongue a few times. I've also had to supply several duplicate invoices as some were "lost". For the amount outstanding, it's taken up far too much headspace. I was on the brink of doing the "cough up within 7 days or see you in court" letter.
Anyway, that's another £136 in my bin. That means that with the cheques going through clearance and the cash I got paid today, I can just meet all my DDs on the 1st of the month.0 -
Just made a tenner on ebay, better than nothing, and another tenner off the debt!0

Hi everyone, thanks for your kind words about my OH last night. I'm afraid the paprazzi weren't waiting for him outside the door this morning, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
My list
1) Payday tomorrow. Paid my leftover (!) wages on to CC.
2) Scratch x 10p
3) Went to work.
4) Took T to playbarn using season ticket.
5) Received a couple of magazines from dirt cheap subscriptions. One had a free Neals Yard potion. Very nice too.
6) Spent £70:eek:  This was to renew season tickets for me and T for March - Nov at the play place ( Adventure Wonderland). It was £8 cheaper to do it now than wait til next month. It's £10 each for us to get in in the summer and we use it at least once a week so actually it's really really good value, but still - it's 70 quid!
7) Cheap dinner. Baked potatoes with leftover stew from yesterday.
Happy birthday Millyscarlet - hope you have had a good day.
You poor thing MrsA. Hope you feel better soon, along with all you others who are under the weather today.

Today, I made sure I put my daysaver bus ticket to good use and used it on 5 buses so I only spent £3.30 as opposed to £8.50:j
Bought some bread that was reduced in the local shop.
Checked my bank account to make sure a payment had gone in.
Counted the money in my £2 jar and I now have £52 which will be more than enough to buy a new vacuum cleaner.
Bought a bacon sandwich from the local sandwich place (which generated a £2 coin in my change).
Feel like a trip to the chippie for a cone portion of chips (90p) which I will have with some cheese from my fridge.
Hung my washing on the line to save on drying it indoors.
Sent cheap text messages instead of making expensive calls on my mobile.
Opened all the windows in my flat to air the place rather than use an air freshner.
Sorry to hear that someone has had their appendix out:grouphug:0 -
Thank you all for lovely comments, means a lot especially when feeling so grotty!
xxJoint debt with OH at LBM Sept 08 (excluding mortgage & student loan) - £34,069

To lose for the big day (lb) 2/510 -
Hi all - not so great day today. Estate agent was round looking at mine and she was a bit of a frosty type. Not the sort of person who could sell herself nevermind my home! So, gent no 2 coming tomorrow. He sounds a bit more on my level 'if I can't sell your place, I don't get paid and wouldn't deserve to'. A bit jack the lad, but he's apparently very good, so he could be jack the ripper for all I care!
Anyhoo, on the small stuff, got a free parkign space at work for the day and got loads of packing boxes in my attempts to declutter! Also painted the hall the other day and will be reglossing the wood in the bathroom tonight - better get started!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
