I think you have got the wrong end of the stick!

You have just done a price comparison of two different company's tariffs - not calculated whether there is any advantage between sc & nsc on the same tariff from the same company.

    Fair enough, my bad :)

    Thanks Quentin

    Update

Hi everyone I've got an update on this situation and need more help. As well as the standing charge issue, I also noticed that we have been put on the Dec 09 tariff but I'm sure we applied for the Oct 09 tariff. I emailed Scottish Power about this and they replied asking for the original "application form". What application form??? It was all done online on Money Supermarkets website and the only email I got from them was confirming the application but didn't say anything about the tariff we had applied for. Should I call moneysupermarket? Will they still have records of the switch?
  • Hi JD

This will be really east for you to resolve - Make contact with Scottish Power and ask for a manager - they will usually put you through to there customer care team.

This issue will tend to be resolved over the phone. I am aware that you will have been put on what ever capped price was available at the time.

The Fixed Prices you are reffering to are Fixed B - October 2009
    Fixed C December 2009

Only one of these tariffs were available when you signed up therefore ask ScottishPower to confirm the dates they withdrew Fixed B and introduced fixed C marry this up for the date you made the application and you will be able to see what package you should have been on.

Unfortuantly with all suppliers you sometimes come across applications were the Broker (Uswitch ect) has provided the wrong information as they provide your chosen supplier with all your details when you are signing up.

    Good luck
