Draughty Flue Fire

Hi,
In our living room the flue fire (5 yr old house - no chimney), seems to be very draughty and making the room cold.
This is obviously not right and have tried and tried and tried to get somebody out to look at it......that's the problem....we either get no return call or they don't deal with flue fires.
We went on the Corgi website and selected gas fires and took a list of all the numbers, but to no avail.....one's going on a course today to learn!
Any ideas on either, what may be causing it or even better, how to get somebody out PDQ?
