[COLOR="rgb(255, 0, 255)"]Hello All,
Hoping someone can help, my Mum has come back from 3 months away in Oz and has given me all her holiday pictures on disk down loaded from her camera on to a PC and disks, tried to put them on my MAC doesn't recognise the disks and format !
Very worried thought she might have lost all her pics so tried it on a friends PC and they are there thank goodness, but i've never had this problem before, any ideas of any programs i could run that might the problem
Thank you :A

Well that's weird.
Can you transfer the photos any other way?
Maybe try copying them onto a memory stick on your friend's PC, and then copying them from that onto your Mac.0 -
Got a spare PC?0

Good plan; I'm guessing the disk has been written some weird way.
I doubt it's a file format problem, as Mac OS X can read many more image formats out of the box than Windows can, which is one reason it's so popular with photographers.
Anyhow, I hope you get it sorted.0 -
When you say the disc isn't recognised, do you mean that you can't see the contents of the disc, or the Mac isn't recognising that there's a disc in?Dave. :wave:0

It says the disk you inserted was not readable by this computer!

You might have to presume that the disc's been written by some Windows based application that the Mac doesn't recognise.
Either go the Snappy Snaps route or go back to your friends, transfer them to their PC and then write them back to a blank disc just as data files.Dave. :wave:0
