    first, to lower the temp in the room, as suggested by you, turn off the radiator, it will ower the ambiant temp and since you are ehating an unused room you are wasting money, so by turing it off will save you cash.


    second, i had the same problem, cold water flows into the cistern direct from mains, so i stuck sheets of polystyrene foam onto the inside of the cistern. this keeps the cold water away from the cistern sides and minimises the condensation. to do this you have to shut off the water supply to the cistern (usually a small tap on the intake pipe), flush the toilet to empty the cistern, dry the internal sides and use waterproof glue of some kind to bond the polystyrene. mind and chaeck the glue you use can be used with polystyreneas some will eat it.

    i lined the walls inside of the cistern but i did'nt line the bottom,now theres only condensation on the bottom,i was'nt to sure if it was wise or not.i have been trying to buy a drip catching kit but with no success.any ideas where to get one.
