I don't know how much your paying for premium economy, but we went to mexico and payed £2600 for 2 adults and 2 teens (they had there own suite) 2wks 4th december 07. That was at the sister hotel Riu Tequila and we booked a month before.
Agree with poe (hi poe!) dreams tulum is a lovely hotel and the beach is better there.
Also forgot to say, they had the same deal just before xmas 08, so you might be better waiting and booking a last minute deal.£100 - £10,0000 -
You could try firstchoice.com
It would depend on your children's ages and if you need seperte rooms etc. We've used them before and they do some lovely hotels in Mexico. A lot of their flights are shared with the Thomson planes. So it might workout cheaper.
I would recommend the occidental grand Xcaret hotel. Its right next to a lovely fun park with lots of walks/animals/pools and the hotel will give you a free day pass. Well worth it! It's also not far out of playa del carmen/playacar.
Hope that helps!0 -
Oh Yes the occidental is gorgeous we couldn't afford that one at the time!
If I had 6k to spend I would be trying to get one of the luxury hotels and not bother with prem flights, as the seats have plenty of legroom longhaul anyway.£100 - £10,0000
