Car Hire to Europe?

Does anyone know which car hire companies in the UK allow you to take a car over to Europe.
We're thinking of driving to Germany in the summer and would quite like to take a hire car rather than my ageing Freelander, not that it's been any trouble when we've taken it on long journeys before.
Failing that, does anyone know of any car hire companies in Calais where we could leave our own car while we take one of theirs?

I know with a few you can. We did it in the past with Auto Europe.
Their terms say: "Travel is permitted into N. Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wright, S. Ireland and Continental Europe."
Go here http://travel.kelkoo.co.uk/c-172301-car-hire.html and scroll tot he bottom of the car hires and click on Auto Europe or the other ones as well and just read the terms and or FAQ's
