Scottish field comps posted here so check thanks, should be posted seperately but never mind;), this one is too good to miss, bound to get merged though:rolleyes:
Answer - River Spey
Take some of Scotland’s finest malts, squeeze in a breath
of Speyside mountain air, and add a dash of finest
local produce.
It all adds up to a luxury two night trip
to Scotland’s largest Whisky Extravaganza from May
1st-10th. There are over two hundred events including
an array of whisky tours, walks, a whisky train, dinners,
lunches, breakfasts, music and song. This annual festival
with events taking place in breathtaking surroundings
also provides the opportunity to see inside distilleries not
usually open to the public and to mix with the experts
who develop and nurture this golden liquid.
The climax to the Festival is a spectacular musical
celebration on Saturday May 9th on the banks of the
River Spey in Aberlour. During the afternoon there will
be parades and bands, with the main event starting at
7.30.
You will enjoy the massed pipes and drums of the
Junior World Champions and their colleagues, fanfares,
fiddlers and dance. The headline event is the iconic
band Capercaillie. To round off the finale there will be a
dramatic firework display.
Your two night visit to Speyside commences on Friday
May 8th at the four star Craigellachie Hotel right in the
heart of Speyside with its superb accommodation, world
renowned whisky bar and mouthwatering cuisine
During the next two days you will enjoy the magnificent Aberlour
Whisky Dinner, Friday May 8th, and other tours, tastings
and festival activities.
