Itchy feet

Every once in a while I get the urge to make a life-changing decison / take on a new project.

This time it's moving house.

Getting this wrong can be very expensive and of course the current economic climate doesn't help. I have a lovely home and don't actually need to move but feel very restless. It did occur to me that it might just be a case of winter getting me down and the first dose of spring may cure me of this wanton spirit. Do I need a house or a holiday? Opinions plse.

    you sound like me!

Seriously, go on a really challenging holiday- see how you feel when you get back :) Or what about a charity tour ( eg cycling rund Cuba) etc

Go somewhere really foreign, we loved Malawi for example, definately put our lives back into perspective :)

I'm the same. I love my car but nearly bought a new one last week - I'm sure it's the desperation of wanting spring, I'm so restless.

So over the last few days I've booked our holiday and a few bargain breaks for me and the H looking for hotel deals on here :) I'm going to sort out something nice for easter for the whole family and I've decided to book the restaurant for our wedding anniversary in May and that will give us something to look forward to every couple of weeks until the beginning of June! Not exactly life changing, but enough to look forward to.

Then I might buy a car :rotfl:

You could revamp a room, give it a new personality if it's a home based itchiness!

Wrong time of year for that ... and have you noticed there's not much of a range/choice in them these days - and the price!!

True - we've missed the start of spring term ... I know some classes are flexible though if they have places...
I did look at the course brochure last year but the courses I'd like to do are a long way away ...
I think they increased the fees for older people last year too - presumably that'll put lots of people off.

Ok, writing groups at the local library, womens groups, volunteering (guides and brownies, scouts etc), local history groups... political partys....

Actaully scratch that they're closing our local library ...

    I have the same problem.
Each time you have a shower, rub E45 cream, into your feet,
not just the part that itches, but all over.
This works for me, but you need to do it each time and it may take two or three times before you feel the benefit.

How about learning a language for a foreign holiday, or brushing up on a language you have learnt?

What do you think you want to be different in a new house?
