removing gas cooker

I want to remove my gas cooker. it is connected by a baynet connection.
is it safe to leave this without capping.
If not can i cap it myself and where do i get the part.

You just disconnect the bayonet conection. There is a spring loaded cap inside the fixed part that cuts off the gas. There might be a slight smell of gas for a short while but it should soon clear.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
