Army Surplus site/shop recommendations?

Options
I just wondered if the military guys in the know might have any advice on this?

Looking for sleeping/bivvy bags, boots, cooking kit and rat packs, warm/cold weather and waterproof kit, etc. I want decent stuff, but don't have the money for the top of the range North Face, Berghaus type prices.

I'm based Nottingham.

This was the most appropriate forum I could see. Redirect me if it would be better posted elsewhere.

Thanks for your help guys.

  • Might sound a bit obvious, but I don't mean to be!
With so many of the guys flooding out of the mob, e-bay is always a great bet for getting rid of kit.

Hope you find what your after!

  • Thanks tartanterra and D&DD,

Maybe I should give Ebay another look. Haven't bought anything there for a year or so. It seemed to be rammed with folk "trying to grab a bargain" and pushing the prices up, generally - of all things, not just Army surplus.

    I appreciate you posting.

I recently bought a Karrimor rucksack on ebay - excellent as new condition - for half the cost of a new one.

The bidding ended on a sat evening which may have had something to do with it!
