Hi,
I am bidding on an item and have placed a maximum bid. Now I've slept on it I have decided I want to lower my max bid but don't know how.
Can anyone help?

I think you'll have to remove your original bid, and rebid to the lower maximum. It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
I think you'd need to cancel (retract) your bid first - say you entered wrong amount in the explanation space - then just rebid with your new highest bid.

Lower a Maximum Bid
In order to lower a bid you will need to retract your original bid first and then place your lower bid.
Retracting a bid can have a substantial effect on a listing's outcome. Because of this, a bid should only be retracted in exceptional situations where you have made a typographical error in the bid amount. For example, if you wanted to bid $9.99 but placed a $99.00 bid by mistake, bid retraction would be allowed. Please review the retraction guidelines if you need to retract your bid."0 -

May be because 'You cannot retract the bid during the last 12 hours of the listing, unless the seller agrees.'0

Oh, fair point, didn't think of that.
Hopefully no one else will bid and you will get it for your first bid.

Also it comes up on your account (feedback page) how many bid retractions you have made.0

I know how you feel. I have bid on things before and slept on it or thought about it then decided that I dont really need the item or could get it elsewhere! Luckily I have been outbid on those occasions! Have started thinking more before bidding now!!Weight Loss - 102lb0
