Or perhaps point out that possible contamination with things like goats milk, soya milk, etc must surely be worse and easily avoided if they did allocate an allowance from the "permitted" milkworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

LOL @ Penny!!
newlywed - instant tea? i've never seen that, would guess it would taste like the stuff you get out of a vending machine? (ie not nice!) - and if it had powdered milk in it, that's still dairy so probably wouldn't be allowed?
soapsuds - that's a good idea, don't know if that counts as a dairy product or not though - does anybody know?!!0 -
I dunno, a friend drinks it - I think it's rather yuck, so obviously a personal taste!
I think Typhoo does QT (approved foods have it - and a review says that it's glucose based whitener) - possibly not dairy at allworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Mr LameWolf takes Earl Grey tea to have at work, which is just as good without milk as with, and no faffing about with slices of lemon. Just a thought. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

hmm lamewolf, i always thought earl grey was a bit posh? ie not the kind of cuppa you could dunk a hobnob/choccy digestive in to!! Please correct me if i'm wrong!!0

Fresh soya milk tastes a LOT better than the long life stuff. Goats milk too would b ok in tea. My son has recently went onto a lactose free diet (again) and can't tell the difference between Alpro Fresh Soya milk and normal semi skimmed milk. Might b worth trying the fresh stuff.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

I became vegan last year, and when I drink tea I just have it weak and black. I'm from the States where tea is generally served black -- it's not as strong there so it's fine that way.0

I started to use Alpro in my tea a couple of years ago and find that if the tea is strong I really dont like it,but make it fairly weak and its OK.A quick dunk of the teabag then remove(I also use Earl or Lady Grey because they are quite a pale weak teabag.)Probably takes some getting used to ,but I actually prefer it now to cows milk.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Is dairy just cow milk or does it apply to goat, sheep, human! etc. Wonder what they would say if a lactating woman wanted to express while at work lol.0

Soya milks vary massively so it may be worth trying a few brands. I find that the ones made with just soya and apple juice are the nicest in tea - Alpro organic fresh or Tesco organic longlife are both ok. I also put more in than I would normal milk. I think it might be a question of getting used to it! Oat milk might be worth a try but rice milk can be very sweet.HSBC Credit Card £6400 now £5587.43 now 5229.9 now £0!!!
