If you go to Lidl, and haven't got a £ coin, don't despair. A 20 P piece works just as well.
(Admitedly I've only tried this in one of the Aberdeen stores, and apologise if it's been posted before)

Made me giggle!! :rotfl:
I have one of those diabetic coin things for the trolleys and have a couple of times took a £1 off someone who wanted the trolley, started walking away then realised and had to run back, explain to them and give them their money back and get my coin.
One lady though looked at me one day as if i was right dodgy and doing something wrong as i hadnt used a £1 coin for the trolley.0
