Alternatives To Mixer Showers Please

Hi guys
I need some advice.
I have just moved into a flat that only has a bath - no shower. The problem is, due to damaged nerves in my right leg I physically can't get out of a bath if I get in.
Due to the hot water water pressure being so low I can't fix a shower on to the taps of the bath to have a shower that way.
So, what alternatives are there? Obviously, ripping out the bath and putting in a shower cubicle is an option but a) it'd be expensive and b) the place is rented so not sure the landlord would be too pleased.
I need to get permission from the landlord for "major home improvements" so if there is a simple solution that wouldn't count as major home improvement then that would be great.
I'm not a big DIY expert either so something simple would suit me down to the ground
Thanks in advance!

In the old days, before showers, people used jugs.
A large plastic jug would probably be ideal for this situation and a lot cheaper than installing a new bathroom.0 -
Hehe I have been known to do that in the past0

apart from fitting 2 grab handles to aid you in & out of the bath, the only real solution is to install a shower cubicle. as you say not cheap.
i reckon most landlords would be ok with that option if you paid for it.Get some gorm.0
