Thick Person Needs Advice

hi all, bought Advent laptop last night, and took it to work so i can access internet by using my bluetooth on moby. i activated my moby, and when searching it found the laptop but asked me to enter a PIN, havent a clue wot/which pin its on about, and on the laptop screen its asking the same. i tried 0000 an 1234 but no go, as it shoes on both fail. tried my hubbies phn this morn, same thing. havent gt router for home computer yet so cant test to see if it picks signal from that either. can anybody tell me which pin they both on about and how do i find it!! manys thanks in advance

Try accessing the mobile from the laptop, the pin is decided on the device receiving the bluetooth connection. So if the phone is receiving the connection from the computer type in any code you want on the phone and type the same one into the computer.

It a security thing so you cant connect to another device and take control etc.

All you have to do is put the same pin into both devices.
the Laptop you are using to connect will ask you to enter a pin (example 1234) it then tries to connect to the mobile, The mobile then asks for the pin number, all you need to do is enter the same pin (1234) it's just to confirm that the person on the laptop is the same as the person with the mobile

thought we had it then! registered computer to networ, dialling but then came back failed twice with codes 777 and 734

Sounds like a service problem I'd keep trying and if that didn't work I'd contact my phone provider.

aw thanks so much. will do, my son and i thght we had cracked it then! dnt think laptop to blame as it is idiot-easy to set up. just cant wait to use it! lol
