o.a.p.travel on london buses

My elderly parents are visiting London for their Diamond Wedding Anniversary in April. Could anyone tell me if their bus passes, issued in Hull, are valid for free travel on London buses. I've looked at all the London travel sights and can find no information at all. Thanks Jigsy

• My mum lives in Manchester but uses her bus pass when visiting me so I imagine one from Hull would be valid too.

Yes they are - I think off peak only.

I've used mine more in London than at home.

Presumably the restriction is only for the morning peak? Everywhere else they can be used any time after 9.30am.

Correct - I think there's also an evening 'curfew' of 11pm or so - same as elsewhere.

Londoners with a 'freedom pass' (their equivalent) no longer have time restrictions I believe.

I think its at any time, but will they really be travelling before 9.30 am anyway?

MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.

Where I am there's no curfew but they're only valid on ordinary buses not night buses, so I suppose that imposes an unnoficial curfew of about midnight or so.

Locals' passes are also valid on local trains from 9.30am until end of service, which is also about midnight on most routes.

It's just a shame I'm quite a way off qualifying myself!

Details here Ignore the bit about freedom passes.
The National Concessionary passes issued by English local authorities outside London are valid at any time within Greater London on all bus services operated on behalf of TfL
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place
