  • A friend from work goes out there for a month! He sometimes books hotel and flights and then arranges his own accomadation. He says this is cheaper, strange though.

Look out for a last minute deal, you can always get cheap accommodation though it will mainly be basic. Search teletext, icelolly ect to get a good price. 350 is that each if so you will have lots of money.

has anyone had any experience of icelolly, i phoned them today becuase i wanted to know which hotel/airline one of their deals was with, but they were very offish, basically becuase i didnt want to book at that minute they wouldnt give me any details. Who is going to book a holiday when they dont know where it is or with which airline, esp in some of the jamaican places, i mean u have to be careful where you go
Anyone had any experience of them??

I met someone in a bar in Goa and they only used the flight though they raved about them but i have phoned them before and they add normally 50 pounds onto the price.
  • I thought the Indian government had stopped allowing people to buy charter flight only, have to book a package now I think
    Have you tried Jewel Holidays?

  • You also need a visa for Goa which is £30 each.

We are off to Kerala in March and have just applied for our visas. An additional cost is that you have to pay to send your passports special delivery to the Indian High Commission and for them to return them. That was about an extra £10.
  • checked at work going to have to be the last week in march around 28th going for two weeks. £350 each.

No all thats has happened is that you must prove your first nights accommodation, this i have found only seems to be inforced by monarch. My mother owns a house in Goa so i kicked off as i go there often and i was asked for the first time in November though my mum flew out 2 weeks before me and was not asked for proof. In the end monarch are not bothered (F$*&ing C$%* - sorry for my language) about this and all you have to do is write down an address (does not have to be complete or no phone number is required) and then then photocopy it and thats it.
  • oh my god!

    somak holidays have quoted this:

    17 March 2006 Gatwick / Goa MON4724 1810 - 0910
    18 March 2006 14 nights Dona Alcina 2* on Bed & Breakfast/ Standard room
    01 April 2006 Goa / Gatwick MON4725 1050 - 1645

The cost of the above itinerary is GBP 509 per person based on two people sharing a twin / double room. Flights are with Monarch Airways on economy.
