Dodgy Dolce Gusto machine

I bought a Dolce Gusto machine from Additions Direct last month, it makes the most wonderful coffee.. WHEN IT WORKS  So basically it often just doesn't work, the coffee doesn't filter through, I'm not very technical but as far as I'm concerned it isn't doing what it's supposed to!
I sent an email to Nescafe over two weeks ago using their online form on the Dolce Gusto website but have not heard anything! I basically said that the machine is very temperamental and works intermittently, also that I have wasted soooo many coffee pods (which are not cheap!) in trying to make the thing work, what can they do to help?
What would you suggest doing now?
Thanks in advance, for any help.

I rang the helpline recently as mine did not have a code in the packaging for my 200 points, the lady was very helpful, and the call centre is in Gods own county of Yorkshire.

PS If you have let the machine run dry then you need to let it cool down then after refilling run it for a few seconds to 'prime the pump' so to speak, hope this helps. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Thank you for that, I didn't get a lot of help through Additions Direct so will try Dolce Gusto direct.
Thanks for the tip about letting it cool down, will bear that in mind. Do you ever have any problems with yours not working? When mine doesn't work it makes a dull whirring noise but it's almost as it the water isn't getting through the pod (if that makes sense).
I just wonder if there is something I'm doing wrong really. I'll give Dolce Gusto a call.
Thanks again0 -
I had a problem when it ran dry, just filling it up didn't work.
I had to release the pod, refill and run water through the machine without the pod.
Popped the pod back in keeping the hole aligned and it started up again. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Ah right it's probably the same thing. Thanks for that.0
