Hi there
I sent the template letter to Abbey to start my claim for PPI insurance on my loan. They have sent me a letter asking me to complete a series of questions. They are as follows:
My occupation and employer;
Marital status;
Any dependants;
My earnings;
My outgoings;
Details of any other PPI policies I hold;
If i cancelled any policy to take out theirs;
Purpose of taking out insurance;
Any discussions regarding taking out PPI;
Did I tell advisor of any concerns about taking PPI;
Was i provided with an application form for the policy;
What would i have done instead of taking out PPI;
My reasons for taking out the PPI.
Does it sound reasonable for them to be asking these questions? Im not sure what to put for a couple of them and I dont want to write something that may stop my claim being successful.
Kind regards
Nick

Hi Nick
This sounds like the questionaire that many are receiving these days, but many have also wrote back to them and told them, they have not filled out the questionaire, because they should already have these details when they sold the loan. (with form attached uncompleted)
Its probably a stalling tactic, they still have to deal with your complaint with questionaire completed or not.
This is your choice hun if you want to complete this because if they ignored dealing with your complaint, you still have rights to take this further with the financial ombudsman service, you can wait and see what others say about this as well if you want to.
Keep an eye on the 8 weeks they have to respond, and good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
