Using debit card to buy kitchen units

I am thinking of buying some kitchen units using my debit card. What sort of legal protection do I get with this method? I am aware of the rights using a credit card but not debit cards. Many thnaks

Its not credit therefore doesn t count ,use a cc and then pay it off when the bill arrives.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0

pay a deposit with the credit card and you will have legal protection if the company goes bust0

credit card every time, even if you just pay a deposit the whold amount is covered. If you havent got a credit card look for a cash back one.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You are incorrect. There is a chargeback scheme available to holders of Visa Debit Cards. You can read about it here:

there is a charge back but it is very iffy and not anyway near as much of a safeguard as a credit cardmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
