Sat Nav suction cup no longer working. help?

Hello, I was using my sat nav yesterday but i tried sticking it in many places only for it to fall off moments later. I dont want to buy a new sat nav, i rarely use it anyway. Does anyone know if i can get a mobile phone style cradle for it?
I have a sony nv-u52 sat nav

I switched my TT to a vent as I was getting glare on the windshield at night, much better position (for me anyway)

You need to have a good vacuum, dirty greasy windows are not good also very small hairs let the vacuum escape. Any air between the suction cup and glass can will heat up and expand, pushing off the mount. So clean the sucker and glass and push onto glass, hence expelling the air and pick a nice flat area.

I ended up using Blu-tac with my olds Sat-Nav after the suction cup broke! lol!! it worked but not during very cold winter days, or very warm summer days !!

yes you'll usually find a clean windscreen and a light lick on the cup will do the trick, as long as the cup itself is still fairly supple. If the cup is hard and difficult to flex it wont work - this just means it was moulded from a unsuitable plastic that has embrittled with time/uv exposure
