What state & how old was the carpet in when you moved in?
Have you tried to have the stain removed professionally, or have you just tried a water/washing liquid/spray carpet cleaner so far?
Do you have tenants' contents insurance? Does it cover the LL's carpets?0 -
Don't know how your LL will react but suggest you go to the Old Style board and ask for suggestions as to how to get the stain out. They're very ingenious over there and may be able to come up with a new idea of what to do.
Good luck.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Get a can of petrol and burn the place down. Then the landlord won't even notice the carpet with the bit of dye on it.Kataratarina wrote: »i accidently gt eyebrow dye on the carpet in my rented house! does anyone reckon the LL will crack up with me? it was an accident and ive tried my best to remove it but i cant shift it!!!!

I didn't know eyebrow dye existed.... how does that work then? How come you don't end up with black stripes where your eyebrows were?
I'd have sat in the bath to apply anything dodgy like that.0 -

Glad I'm not the only one!
Eyebrow dye??? Why wouldn't you want your eyebrows the same colour as your hair?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
