Help WC Auger stuck

I hope someone can help me. Whilst unblocking my toilet, I pushed the WC Auger through the blockage and somehow it now seems to be stuck beyond the U Bend. I've tried pulling but it is really stuck. Any harder and I'd break the toilet.

Does anyone have any ideas how I can remove it?

Thanks

  • Yes I have tried removing it whilst flushing. I've also put gloves on and put my hand around the U-Bend but the claw on the end seems to be caught on something. If I pull it any harder I'd break the toilet .

I haven't tried putting Fairy Liquid down. Thanks for that I'll try it.
If I can I'd like to avoid having to call someone out for what may be a 2 minute job.
  • Anyone else is in the same boat as you afraid its up to you now.....push twist pull, then repeat..
  • It is probably caught on the seal. Your best and safest way is to take the toilet out.
