My Bosch Double Oven Is Poorly - can anyone help me find out whats wrong pls?

Hello All
I am absolutely desperate. My Bosch Double Oven started playing up last month. It has a top oven and a fan oven at the bottom. The top oven is still working (thank god), but the fan oven started playing up with the temperature.
It would only reach temperature of 110 and then drop, then rise etc. My hubby spent many hours trying to see if he can fix it. He managed to change the temperature regulator and it seemed to work the first time we used it, although got quite hot.
The second time I am using it (two very hungry children wanting their dinner and oven not cooking it) it is not rising in temp all the way to 200. It finally reached 180 (after 15 minutes) now has dropped to 110 again.
We spent £28 on the temperature regulator and are really tight. We really hoped this would be it. Can anyone help with suggestions.
Please help!

thanks 'steve the fitter'.
hubby inside the oven now having a look. since had a development. Tried baking a cake so we could test the oven (very happy hubby taking wedge of coffee cake to work) but turned it to 190c, it took ages to reach temp, looked inside and the element was working but fan not. Hubby kick started it by touching it with a screwdriver and it started again. It did reach temp, but during cooking dropped to 110. When looked in oven either element wasn't on or fan not working.
Now need to find out how I know whether it's the fan we replace or the element? Got I hate expensive electrical items! No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
a fan oven must have the fan operating to work properly. otherwise itll takes ages to cook anything.
so it does seem as though the fan is kaput. fans seem to go bang fairly regular.
ive replaced two (at the DDs) in the last few yrs.Get some gorm.0 -
Thanks for the reply. I think you may be right. Hubby is trying to clean it up.
I have seen the part on bosch website and it is £100 - ouch!!! but I suppose cheaper than buying a new one.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

thank you, thank you - had another look on ebay using the parts no from bosch website and found the fan for £36 delivered!! Compared to Bosch at £99 not inc VAT or postage.
Really appreciate your time. Massive sigh of relief, as really can't afford anything this year, my son turns three soon and 4 days later going into hospital for an operation :0( This oven business really couldn't of come at a worse time.No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -
