Is there something in the rules for this board, that the OP must have answered the Q's for the comp/s themselves??

If not, it's got nothing to do with anyone else. some posters must think they are still at school ~ "Oohh I'm telling, you've cheated!!"

lol yeah your right about that, sillycow, i think you should change the title back and just leave it how it is, let other people who may not be online now anter the comp aswell

In a way, all our halos are wonky!! We all cheat to a degree- someone, somewhere does the hard work, enters comp info/answers on here and we all then use it!!

Do some people supersleuth on every post to ascertain whether the OP of that thread did the work themselves....?

I joined MSE and came across the comps section - everyone seemed so nice and friendly, so it's a shame to come across the contents of this thread:rolleyes:

Perhaps if silly cow put the comp back up, or posted these in future, she could simply add something along the lines of 'answers from another forum, credit goes to op'. Would that not be a sufficient compromise to keep everybody happy?

I realise that that's ott for most comps on here, and simply not necessary. But I feel that this could be taken as a slightly different case in that it's a cryptic crossword which has taken more time and effort that most comps require. The op has chosen to share their answers with the general public, but I don't think that means we should neglect the common courtesy of saying thank you.
