Gatwick North Hotel and 7 day parking with 2 toddlers?

Hi,
We are flying from Gatwick North in May and need to park the car for 8 days.

We are a family of two adults and two toddlers aged 3.5 and 2. (so need to keep things easy and simple for less stress)

We need a hotel that we can park at and that has a family room, ideally with very easy transport to the airport.

anyone got any recomendations?

Thanks.

The Sofitel hotel is connected to the north terminal . 2 mins walk from hotel reception . I have stayed in a family room before and they gave us two rooms with an interconnecting door , absolutely huge . Very comfortable , best airport hotel at gatwick by far

Try and do a search on google for airport hotels . You may be best to do airport parking seperate depends on the price

I have used a firm called FHR before . Use discount code FHR-P2009 FOR £2.50 off seperate parking and code FHR-H2009 for £10 off hotel accomodation

Let us know how you get on

I'm looking for the same, with 11 days parking & family room for the summer. The sofitel looks wonderful, but is coming up at £270 without breakfast!

However, OP, if you are after booking the lounge at Gatwick north, it's much cheaper through this site www.executivelounges.com. It has a FUN zone for the little ones :D

    use https://www.holidayextras.co.uk

they have a undercover booking option that usually works out as good value . you won't know which hotel it is until you have booked and payed .however you can easily work out which hotel it is before you part with your cash , by copying and pasting some info about the hotel into google.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I always stay in the Travelodge (add £5 per night for parking there) then drop the car at the parking in the morning as otherwise the shuttle is something like £5 per person. It's basic but clean and the rooms are a good size - they have a bar area that does decent well priced food too.

Have also got parking at Airparks which is just down the road (via HOliday extras - don't forget to use a cashback site!) for £35 for 8 days - is then 5-10 min shuttle from car park to terminals. Obviously the prices will vary but if you start looking now you should get a decent deal.

I've stayed at Gatwick Travelodge... luckily we were going to Redhill and not the airport cos it miles away from the airport!!! We were supposed to get the shuttle back to the airport in the morning to catch the train to Redhill, we ended up having to fork out 30 quid for a taxi to Redhill as the shuttle didnt even turn up!!!

we are staying at gatwick travelodge £30 for the night! and we are parking at aph gatwick which is £56 for 2 weeks, we have used them before, from travelodge drive your car to the aph park, they have a very good security, then coach you to the airport, and pick you up and take you back to the car when you land. get 10% through topcashback. ive looked at 8 days in may and its £44 parking! better than leaving it in a travlodge carpark unguarded!
get a family room at travelodge you get 2 extra pull out beds.

Really? It's under a mile I'm sure, and certainly a lot closer than some of the other hotels that call themselves 'airport' hotels!

Travelodge can be very reasonable in price . But its very basic at gatwick . i.e no phones in room , by an industrial estate up a dark road . Read reviews on tripadvisor for every hotel you fancy
  • I think we are going to stop at the Hilton for ease it costs £136.04 for the 4 of us for the 9th May with parking for 8 days.
Not the cheapest I know but more convenient with two toddlers in tow, especially if we can get rid of bags early.
They also get to go on the monorail between terminals.
