Old Bikes
My father has an old Raleigh bike that is around the same age as me (32!) I also have my old Raleigh bike.
I don't want to just take these to the tip as really there is nothing wrong with them (Just a bit old fashion)
I have tried to sell the bikes at the car boot but with no success.
Does anyone know of any charity that would want the bikes?
Many thanks

check with your local bike shops - some may be involved with re-conditioning bikes for charities - at least they are round my way."When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes" - Erasmus0

My son's cubs group asks for any old/outgrown bikes for them to use. You could ask at a cub/scout group near you.0

There are a couple of places in Bristol might be glad to have them, if you can get them here. One is LifeCycle, who may well know if there is anything similar in Newport to their BikeBack scheme. The other is Kebele, who (used to) offer a weekly bike workshop and would happily cannibalise anything.
Kebele has the advantage of being within bike pushing distance of Stapleton Road train station, which you can get to from Bristol Temple Meads.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Not relevant for WPC sorry, but there is a great place in Glasgow called Community Can Cycle that reconditions bikes for children from low income families in the local community (Castlemilk)
