If the gap is NO MORE that a quarter of an inch 5mm you will be OK just snip the silicon nozzle bigger and do this bit last,You can buy plastic lengths from B+Q at right angles for big gaps,Just stick these on with silicon,Keep your fingers wet and smooth the silicon down after 10 mins or so,Do not try to drag too much silcon away as this is defeating the object-Dont forget DO NOT shower for 24 hours (or is this normal lol) Good Luck!!
And do not wipe the silicon over the tea towel (My normal trick)OH THE JOYS OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED!! Can Travel,Will Work For Free!0 -
Thanks to everyone who gave their advice -- we eventually used a sort of sealant tape (overlapping to make it wide enough to cover the gap) plus extra sealant where required. It looks OK, not a professional finish but better than before anyway, and seems to be doing the trick!0
