Help required with Halifax Bank Charges

Hi Everyone
I am in the process of reclaiming my bank charges, i am in financial hardship due to having to work reduced hours and so i've wrote my letter to Halifax using the template letter. Halifax responded by requesting me to complete a financial statement, which i did and provided wage slips as proof.
Halifax have now wrote back and said that they have decided that the charges are fair and that due to me being in financial hardship they will be getting in touch to advise me on how to manage my money........which i certainly dont need from the bank that has unfairly taken over £700 off me.
Can somebody advise what it is that i do now as i thougt that in cases of financial harship the banks will look into the case earlier rather than waiting for the final decision from the courts.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can complain to the FOS, However I tried that and was informed that the bank are not required to pay back the charges until the test case says they do. The most they can do is freeze future charges or whatever.
Halifax are such a pain, I have been trying to get my charges back since 2007 and due to hardship last aug with no luck.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
I'm in the same position as you and have recently threatened court action, getting a response saying they will no longer respond to any of my communications on the matter. Charming.0
