    I think you are correct. Lord "Mandy" Mandelson negotiated this with the Card Providers a few weeks ago along with a few other forms of assistance for those suffering financial hardship.

    Do you know what the other forms of assistance are?

    My friend has just received a letter from MBNA saying that will increase his interest rate or keep it the same and close the account.
