Alf, I was thinking about off duty arrests. When I was a village plod. I was cutting the front grass one summer's day when smack a car came off the road and smashed into a nearby street light. The youth driving leapt from the car and legged it. I ran after him. During the chase I yelled at a bloke who was doing his garden to stop the run away. He did try to help out but in the process fell over his wall and went crashing down. I eventually caught the offender and took him back to my police house until the duty boys collected him.
I then went to thank the poor fella who'd fallen over, neighbours told me he'd been taken to hospital with a badly broken ankle.
He was off work for 7 weeks!
As he was injured whilst attempting to assist me in apprehending a criminal, my boss put in a criminal injuries claim for him. He later got an award and insisted on taking me and the then missus for a lovely meal.
I love happy endings.

I can remember you blagged the shop that it was faulty. I hear that it did infact take one last picture whilst in your shorts in the pool.
