in Credit cards
Hi guys!
I'm after a bit of advice.
Just been accepted for the HSBC 0% for 9 months card. Don't know the credit limit yet.
However, I want to apply for another card. Either another 0% or a low life of balance card. Am I likley to be accepted?
My credit rating in December was about 657/poor! But since then have cleaned it up! Got rid of £15,000 worth of unused limits and had someone removed from my file who shouldn't have been on there!
Should I wait until I get my HSBC card through and have transferred whatever I can to that then see where I need to go? Just really want to get it sorted but I guess without knowing what limit they have given me I'm not too sure what to put where!
Think I've just answered my own question really!

I'd wait - the cards you have cancelled might not have shown up as so on your credit report, so it will look like you still have tonnes of credit.
Ideally I'd wait a few weeks to a month. This from someone that has been stung by too many searches in the past.0 -

Sounds good - I've never ever missed payments over years of having cards, but my score was 609 in early december due to lots of searches. Now 4 of those have come off, my score is into the early 800s.0
