Hi all
My neice has a computer that turns itself off after about 20 mins. It has to be left a while before it'll reboot again.
I think that it is over-heating, could this cause this?
The fan at the back of the computer is near their curtain, last night the air coming from the computer was hot.
Is there anything else that would cause it to turn itself off? A virus maybe
Thanks

Def' sounds like its overheating to me
If you feel upto it, switch the machine off and take the side cover off and clean all the dust etc out (Especially near fans):idea:0 -
You're best using an Airduster to clean the inside safely. I'd make sure the CPU fan is cleaned and the blades are spinning properly, make sure any other fans are clear and blow any dust you can find away and hopefully that should sort it out for you.0
