  • Oops, I forgot to mention that I add a quarter teaspoon or so of vitamin C powder (Holland & Barrett) on top of the ingredients when I add the yeast. That helps the yeast bear the terrible burden I inflict upon it.

    I'm lactose intollerent and I got a leaflet from the hospital saying I could use coffee mate?? always thought it odd when you read the ingrediants but I use that instead of dry milk, but from reading the previous thread might start using oil.

    Hi, I have made bread in my Kenwood for many years and I only ever use milk if making buns, white and brown/seed bread only use flour, water and yeast, I hate it without salt so I put that in and a little oil makes it last longer!

    I got the panasonic today and there's no sign of milk in most of the recipies. Can I ask if its supposed to switch on then sit there for ages looking at me and doing nothing ? It says its resting !!
