No Claims Bonus After Having a Company Car

Hi

I'm weighing up the pro's and con's of opting out of my company car scheme. The last time I ran a private vehicle (8 years ago) I had full no claims built up. I've also had no claims whilst being a company driver, and have been a named driver on my wife's car insurance policy.

Will insurers take any of these factors into account if I choose to go down the opt out route?

There are plenty of companies that will allow you no claims bonus "mirrrored" of your company car driving subject to satisfactory letter from your employer. The easiest way would be to ring a local broker as they will know which companies will allow this. If you do not want to go down this path you will just have to ring the direct companies and ask them

My husband was in the same boat but had no problems with Tesco insurance, he just had to provide a letter from the company stating he had no accidents or claims while driving the company car.
