Somethings gotta change - ME

Hi everyone

I have been a member for a few months now but this is my first post. I love reading all your diaries and feel like a know you all already.

Anyway the reason for my post is basically I AM FED UP WITH ME !! I have recurring thoughts of " whats it all for" and that s not good so I need to get my butt in gear and change my life.

Areas to change :

Finances : The reason for me joining this forum is that I am £68K in debt (ouch) . I am 44 in 3 weeks time and my aim is to be debt- free when i am 50. So that gives me 6 years ( can be done)

Health . I need to lose about a stone in weight . I look alright with my coat on ! but spring is coming and it will soon be T-shirt weather and don't want another year of sucking in my mum-tum. ( 3 c-sections in 3 years has done nothing for my stomach muscles!)
I also need to cut down on the wine !

Parenting /Relationships . I need to be the best mum & wife that I can be

Home - Desperately needs doing up

The list continues .....

I know that its one small step at a time so :

This week I'll mostly be not buying or drinking wine ( 2 areas covered here-finances/health)

Anyone care to join me on my route to a better life ?:T

    Hi 40SM :D

Good luck with your journey to a better life. Don't put yourself under too much pressure though as some big goals there. Take lots of mini steps on the way.

I am trying to do similar in my life but for slightly different reasons. So I will tag along for your journey if you fancy some company.

Best of luck. It's never too late to change and by doing one step at a time it will happen!

    Hi there

It sounds as though we have a lot in common. I am also a 40something mum (to 3 teenagers), have debts, need to lose 2 stone and cut down on the wine......

Look forward to reading your diary and I'd love to join you on your road to "a better me".
YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)

really....it's not hard to understand :T

Hiya 40something mum. I think i will tag along too. Debt is 75k but that includes motgage and i am aiming to be free of it all within 5 years (will never happen because we want to move to bigger home) I have had 2, 9lb babies in the last 2 years and quite simply my body is knackared.

    Hi Lilac Pixie

Thanks for the kind welcome. I look forward to you tagging along.

  • 68k in debt isn't that much. A mortgage that size isn't too bad. If it was on credit cards then I'd be very worried.
