silicone advice

I have 2 disco lights, they have a 24v 250w dichoric lamp behind a lens. the lens has come away from the metal case, i have been told to use a silicone to restick it, ? i dont know how hot the metal gets, so any ideas what i should use, please.

I would steer away from normal silicone because you have no idea how it is going to react to a fairly hot lamp in close proximity.

You best bet is to get some High Temperature "Oven Glass Door Adhesive" from EBAY for £5-£6

i did email the makers tech dept, they said so long as it was siliconE, even what get used for a bath seal would be fine. im not sure. if the less heat stuff works , why did the lens drop off in the 1st place
