Gas or electric hob?

I've had a gas hob at my previous house and a ceramic hob in this one. Got to be honest I don't have a preference between the two in terms of cooking but the ceramic is soooooooooooo easy to clean. And for that reason it gets my vote!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Gas hob, definitely. I have had to use electric hobs on occasion -- most recently last summer while on a self-catering holiday. They drive me crazy. I hate turning the heat off but whatever's in the pan just keeps on cooking!0

I prefer gas hobs. It could be because I feel I can control the heat better, I don't have to wait for them to heat up or cool down. Or it could be because electric hobs don't exist in my country so I'm not used to themGC March Wk1 £28.72/£30 Wk2 £28.4/£29

Ive had my induction hob for about 8 yrs now before that a gas hob, and my induction was the best buy ever, it takes just about 10 seconds to heat up a pan of water, will respond from boil to simmer in a second, never gets hot on top even when cooking things, so great for when the children were young.
Long live induction:beer:0 -
